As the winter weather in Lancaster County drags on, some days you might feel tempted to just stay in your warm thrift store jammies. On Saturday, February 21, Divine Consign your favorite quality resale store, (at 37 Market Square, Manheim, PA) is encouraging you to do just that. Actually, we double-dog dare you! For Divine Consign’s seventh annual Pajama Party, customers are encouraged to come dressed in their pajamas for a light-hearted time of shopping, food, fashion and prizes.

* Treasure hunt new spring inventory and score some final clearance steals
* We will be buying children’s and juniors clothing – up to 30 items – $$$ up front!
While pajama-attire is not required, those who come out in robes and slippers enjoy a mystery discount, a special door prize and a fine excuse for a “oh-please-let-winter-be-over-already” party. Owner Joyette Kendig can’t resist a smile when she explains, “When we first came up with the idea of wearing our pajamas to work for a day we brushed it off thinking ‘Oh no… We can’t possibly do THAT!’ Then I said ‘Hey, wait a minute! We certainly can! Who’s stopping us?’ Its really all about fighting back the weariness of winter and having fun. Its grown into a greatly anticipated tradition.” Joyette will once again man the griddle providing complimentary pancakes and other brunch refreshments throughout the day. Customers will also enjoy shopping the freshly stocked assortment of spring clothing and accessories for the entire family.
Not quite brave enough to be seen in public in your nightgown? Bring an item to donate to the Manheim Food Pantry instead. For each item a customer brings to donate, they will have an additional chance to draw a higher mystery discount. For Joyette, this part of the party is perhaps the most important part. “Part of living a thrifty lifestyle is about sharing our own abundance with others. After the holidays is a difficult time of year for food banks. The pre-holiday donations begin running out but there is still a big need.”
